Jodie Harte

Research Assistant

Jodie is a Research Assistant in the Tropical Immunology Research Group led by Prof. Susanna Dunachie. She holds a BSc Biomedical Sciences degree specialising in Pharmacology and an MSc in Immunology and Immunotherapy from the University of Birmingham.

Her research efforts are currently centred around tackling T cell immunity to SARS-CoV-2, supporting the ongoing PITCH consortium (Protective Immunity for T cells in Healthcare workers). Previously, she was a Research Assistant at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Genetics, contributing to the SARS-CoV-2 ONS infection study. Jodie has a particular interest and research background in immune cell metabolism, having completed a research project into ‘Elucidating the impact of lactate in macrophage metabolism and function’
