Jolynne Mokaya

DPhil student


Jolynne is a Leverhulme Mandela Rhodes scholar from Kenya. She is reading for a DPhil in Clinical Medicine and is a member of Hertford college.  Her background is in Clinical Epidemiology and Nursing and she has worked in academic and research institutions in Kenya and South Africa.

Her research project is investigating drug and vaccine resistance as a challenge for hepatitis B virus elimination in Africa, with a focus on cohorts in South Africa.

She is being supervised by Professor Philippa Matthews and Professor Eleanor Barnes.
