Timothy Tipoe
Postgraduate student
Timothy is currently reading for a DPhil in Clinical Medicine and is a member of Christ Church college. Prior to joining the institute in 2020, he graduated with an MBChB degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2019 and obtained his medical license there. He subsequently obtained funding from the Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholarship, CUHK to pursue his studies here.
His current research project is investing the effects of a broad neutralising antibody (bNAb) on HIV infection and control, with a focus on post-treatment controllers: a subset of HIV-infected individuals that have an inherent ability to suppress HIV infection to clinically undetectable levels, without the need for HAART.
He is being supervised by Professor John Frater.
